R.C Puri inaugurates Dance workshop for Children
JAMMU, March 22: A 10 days Dance Workshop for Children was inaugurated here today at Harman Dance Academy, Upper Gaadi Garh Jammu.Sh. R.C Puri, Honorary Secretary IRCS Jammu Region was the Chief Guest on the occasion and inaugurated the workshop by lightning the traditional lamp.
Harman Dance and Educational Social Trust organised the workshop with the support of Nirvana Academy a cultural club. 100 participants from rural and border areas participated in the dance workshop.
The workshop is being conducted by Gurvinder Sudan, who is a graduate in Kathak from Fine Arts College Jammu and assisted by Roshan Angurana, Aamir Khan and Jasleen.
Dance Faculty from Jammu's Dance institutes and renowned Dance Choreographers of Jammu region took part in this workshop and shared their experience with the participants of the workshop.
Gurvinder Sudan informed that this unique camp would provide a rarest opportunity to children to enable them to explore their immense inner creative and artistic abilities.
During the 10 day dance workshop, the children will learn and explore personality development, confidence building, folk dances of Jammu, Punjabi Bhangra, stagecraft and much more with the help of latest dance techniques.
A Dance programme would also be prepared by the participants during this workshop which would be presented before the larger number of audience, who get a chance to watch a wonderful children's dance as the outcome of the Dance workshop.
While speaking on the occasion, R.C Puri said that the workshop will help the children in overall personality development and also to explore their creativity. He expressed his gladness over the training which will prove beneficial for them in the years to come. He also congratulated the participants for getting a chance to learn new dance techniques from the experts.
Those, who attended the inaugural function, included Hitesh Badyal, Meenakshi Sharma General Secretary Nirvana Academy, Nishant Vaid Secretary Nirvana Academy, Tajinder Singh Director Harman Dance and Educational Social Trust,Harsheen, Harshleen, Kanika, Richa, Harman Jeet Singh, Ikjot Singh, Samreen Kour, Akshay Chambyal, Dharvinder Sheria, Gurnam Singh, Shubam, Ashish, Vishal Singh, Aman Jot Singh, Raman Jot Singh, Vishal, Jasleen Kaur, Rohan Preet Singh, Aman Deep Singh, Simran Jeet Singh, Manhar Preet, Pranvit Kaur and Jasvinder Singh.

WOMEN ACHIEVER AWARDS 2017
RAMBAN, Mar 14: The International Women’s Day was celebrated by Nirvana Academy a cultural club in collaboration with J&K Police Ramban and District Information Centre Ramban, organized a programme in the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School, here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Mohan Lal was the chief guest while principal BVM Pardeep Singh Thakur was special guest on the occasion.
As many as five women from different section of society were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in their respective field in the programme which including Sr Lecturer Sushma Rani, Sr Staf Nurse Shukantla Parihar, Beekeeper Rahina Begum, Entrepreneur Shaveta Devi and Chairperson National Academy Secondary School Falak Naz.
After the felicitating ceremony all the felicitated speakers shared their life experiences and express their thoughts regarding the present scenario of women in the society with the audience.
While speaking on the occasion the chief guest said such activities should organized frequently which give a recoganisation to the work of such ladies. He appreciated the efforts made by Information Department Ramban, JKP Ramban , BVM High school and Nirvana Academy Chief Organiser, Ramban Tahir Mushtaq and asked them to conduct these types of programme for upliftment of women community in future.
Besides this symposium and colorful dance and singing performances were also presented by District Information Centre Ramban which enthralled the audiences and later they were awarded with prizes and participation certificate.
The vote of thank was presented by Tahir Mushtaq whereas the stage proceedings were ably hosted by Vijay Kumar from DIC, Anchal and Mrigakshi Khajuria.

Nirvana Academy concludes Multiple Theatre Activity Programme
Jammu, 11 November: Nirvana Academy a Cultural club, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Jammu today concluded 20 days long Multiple Theatre Activity camp cum interaction sessions at Spring Blossom Public School, Bakshi nagar Jammu. In this camp participants learnt about Drama, Artistic Make-up, Script reading, Theatre Ethics, Theatre Idioms and creation of visuals.
Mrs. Divya Gupta, Managing Director Spring Blossom public School was the chief guest where as Social Worker Smt. Santosh Basotra was the guest of honour on the occasion. In this Camp, Nirvana Academy provided awareness to 25 participants including theatre artists, young energetic youth and children of Jammu who wanted to earn knowledge of Theatre.
Experts from different fields also interacted with participants and delivered their lecture, demonstrations and shared their experience with the participants. Vetran Actor and Director Umesh Singh teaches the basic principles of play writing, acting and direction. He also shared experiences during his workshop on theatre lights with SNA.
Hemu Karki Senior beautician cum makeup artist and Paramjeet Kour gave demonstration and lecture on artistic make up. Drama Instructor and Writer Rohit Sharma and Suraj Narayan trained participants in Drama and Theatrical Skills. Participants also interacted with Senior folk dance artists Sh. Janak Raj Sharma. J.R Sharma gave awareness about the Dogra theatre folk "Haran". Sharma during his lecture said that our regional theatre should be preserved and it is high time that we should be serious about our culture and art.
Students of Spring Blossom Public School also took part in the camp along with the artists. A Short play was also presented on the Closing ceremony of camp. Suraj Narayan, Naveen Pal, Shellija, Kabita, Pankhudi, Aashiya, Amit Kumar, Ansh Gupta and Sarmohit showed their talent on the closing ceremony day.
General Secretary Nirvana Academy Meenakshi Sharma thanked the management of the school for providing the venue for camp as well as closing ceremony. She also thanked Secretary, J&K Academy of art, culture and languages for the financial assistance and their kind support. Mrs. Kamlesh Kour Coordinated the programme.

Nirvana Academy, Army celebrates National Teachers Day
RAMBAN, Sept 05: To celebrate the National Teachers Day Nirvana Academy, a cultural club in collaboration with 109 INF Battalion (TA) MARATHA LI under the aegis of 11 Sector RR, organized a programme in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School Ramban, today.
Commandant, Brig.K P Singh was the chief guest whereas Chief Education Officer(CEO),Ramban, Mohammad Sharief Chauhan was the guest of honour on the occasion while Dy CEO Ramban Baj Ji Thaploo and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Ramban Zubaida Parveen were presided over the function.
On the occasion besides speeches by eight students of various schools on the role of teachers, ten teachers from different school were also honoured and felicitated. They were awarded with a memento and a Commendation Certificate each. Those teachers were Sanjay Kumar, Raj Singh Raju,Mumtaz Ahmed,Kuldip Singh, Ajit Singh, Raghuvir Singh,Kiran Bala, Saidullah Katoch,Sita Ram and Sushma Gupta. Pawan Kumar was awarded with a special award for his outstanding services in the field of education.
While speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that such programmes shall encourage the teacher community besides recognizing their contribution for making noble students.
He asked the participants to work with zeal and dedication for maintaining respect and credibility of the teaching profession. He appreciated the efforts made by army and Nirvana Academy Chief Organiser, Ramban Tahir Mushtaq and asked him to conduct these types of programme in future as well.

Nirvana Academy Organises Talent Search Programme "Billawar Got Talent"
28 August 2016: Nirvana Academy a registered cultural club organised Talent Search Programme "Billawar Got Talent" in the premises of Durga Bhawan, Nagotra gujjru, Billawar with the aim to encourage and provide an opportunity to the children, artists and youth in rural areas.
Sh. Sushil Sharma, SHO Billawar was the chief guest while Sh. Narayan Dutt Triphatti Senior BJP Leader, Smt Santosh Sharma President Nirvana Academy were guest of honour on the occasion.
The event commenced with the Dogri Dance performance which was highly appreciated by the audience followed by Singing, dance and Acting Competition in different age group categories. A solo act "Mei bhi beti hun" based on theme beti padao beti bachao by Nusrat Jahan spellbound the audience.
As many as 40 participants performed under the guidance of Rohit Sharma and Param Jeet Singh. Smiley Tanuja noted dance choreographer and Rapper Writer Rehain Prince adjudged the performances.
Chief Guest Sh. Sushil Sharma lauded the efforts of the Nirvana Academy for organizing such an event in Billawar which not only created an awareness but also provided an opportunity to the children and youth of rural areas.
President Nirvana academy Santosh Sharma said that Nirvana Academy take this opportunity to promote the talent of Billawar and shall organise art workshops for the budding talent of Billawar. She also appreciated the initiative taken by the organisers of the programme Rohit Sharma and Paramjeet Singh from Billawar. She also thanked chief guest Sh. Sushil Sharma and other dignitaries for giving their valuable time.
Ravi Kumar, Chetan Verma and Karan Singh stands first, Second and third respectively in Senior Dance category where as first and second prize in junior dance category was won by Jagrit and Shivansh respectively.
Kashish Verma and Anjali won first and second prize respectively in Kids dance cateogry.
In Singing Mohd. Irfan won first prize where as Aatish Kumar and Neeraja Dogra got second and third prize respectively.
Hardik Singh got Best Rapping award where as Nusrat jahan won best acting award.
All the participants were felicitated with the trophies and certificate of participation on the occasion.
