Nirvana Academy and Strings pays tribute to martyrs on Shaheed Diwas
To mark Shaheed Diwas today
Strings Institute of Spanish Guitar and Nirvana Academy
a Cultural Club organized a candle light vigil to remember the supreme
sacrifice of the revolutionary martyrs. Col. Rawel Singh C.O of 2J&K NCC
Unit was the chief guest on the occasion. People from all walks of life including
the volunteers of Nirvana Academy , parents and Students of Strings were present
at Bahu Plaza
complex Jammu .
Slogans were shouted in the glory of the martyrs, and songs were sung in their praise.
The aim of the event was to make people aware especially to the youth about the
sacrifices made by the true heroes of the nation whom’s glory is fading from the
life of young generation. Such martyrs are the enrich source of inspiration and
patriotism among youth.
23rd March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were
hanged at Lahore Jail, they gave their lives for country’s freedom which they
had dreamt off. Since then, to salute their supreme sacrifice, this day is
remembered as Shaheed Diwas, says Col. Rawel Singh on the occasion.
“Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev gave their lives to free
this country from the British rule. No doubt their sacrifice paid off and we
got our political freedom, but they dint want our country free only
politically, they dreamt of our country to be free from all forms of evil.
Today Corruption and injustice are few of those evils still ruling our country.
It’s time we come forward and do anything and everything to free our country
from these evils” says Naresh Kumar Sharma Chairman Strings Guitar Institute.
Every year, this event always boosts up the energy of
Nirvana Academy Volunteers. Hitesh
Badyal President Nirvana
Academy said "Always
think what you can do for your motherland, not what your motherland can do for
you", this event always makes us realise our duties towards our nation.
Finally an oath was taken by Students of Strings and volunteers NA to work
harder and to work 'together' to complete all our responsibilities towards our
motherland.
Ashutosh Dubey a volunteer expressed his gratitude for
martyrs and told that on 23 March 1931 Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru
and Shaheed Sukhdev were handged but they did not die, they became martyrs and
the brutal crushing of their young lives created thousands of freedom fighters
and gave further impetus to the freedom movement. Today we humbly remember the
great sacrifice of these martyrs.
