Sur Tarang music competition organized by Nirvana Academy a cultural club.
Sur Tarang music competition was organized by Nirvana Academy a cultural club (Regd.) at Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya Gandhi nagar Jammu here today. Krishan Lal Verma Retd. H.O.D fine arts college Jammu and disciple of Padam vibushan Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. 10 participants from different schools and institute took participate in the competition. Theme of the competition was devotional and light song in open category. Programme started with the performance of a 7 year old boy master Kunwar who sung “itni shakti hume dena data ki maan ka vishvaas kaam ho na” followed by the performance of Dapinder pal singh who presented song “Maa” on the occasion which was highly appreciated by the audience. Arti a classical trained singer presented a sufi song “tere ishq nachaya kar ke thya thya” while Jagajot sung “Bulla ki jaana mei kon” mesmerized the audience. Chief Guest K.L Verma told on the occasion that these kinds of activities strengthen the confidence of participants and provided them the stage experience. Others who were presented on the occasion were Hitesh Badyal (President NA), Kuldeep Kumar, Neeraj Sharma (Vice President NA), Nishant Vaid, Santosh Sharma and Paramjeet kour and Anmol Amla. Final result was: 1st prize – Arti Dayal, 2nd Prize – Jaganjot Singh, 3rd Prize – Dapinder pal Singh (Dee Pee), Consolation Prize – Kunwar Langer and Shammi Kumar. Certificate of participation was presented to Ankit Kumar, Harpreet Singh Khalsa, Vipul Gupta, Amit Kumar and Sumit Anand. Neha Varma anchored the programme.
