“Equality for Deaf People” International deaf weak Celebrated


Jammu, Sep. 23: As a part of International Deaf weak 2013, Nirvana Academy A Regd. Cultural Club, Disabled care Foundation, Voice For Rights and Mindscape Educational & Environmental trust collaborated with J &K Samaj kalyan Kendra Jammu to Celebrate world deaf day in the premises of the school with the theme “Equality for Deaf People”.
The event marked the beginning with the painting competition by
the school children. As many as 40 children participated in the competition crafting their creativity on the canvas in a colourful and expressive manner. Sh Bushan Kesar an eminent painter of national repute adjudged the painting competition.
The painting competition was followed by the Cultural programme presented by the deaf,dumb children who were specially trained and choreographed by Ms Paramjeet Kour Pammy of Nirvana Academy. Kids presented the enrich cultural heritage of the state in the songs featuring Thare Thuda paeyaa, Tunde Jammua de and Shiv Tandav by Vikash.

The multicultural heart rendering  presentation took guests, parents, and eminent people from various social organization present on the occasion by surprise.  The kids made them spellbound with their immense talent & presentation. It was a joyous moment for  all theses present on the occasion.
It is mention that The International Week of the Deaf (IWD) is
observed annually during the last full week of September. The purpose of IWD is to draw the attention of politicians, authorities and the general public to the achievements of Deaf people and the concerns of the Deaf community. They are encouraged to carry out information campaigns about their work, and to publicise their demands and requests. This week also increases solidarity among Deaf people and their supporters, and is used as a time to stimulate greater efforts to promote the rights of Deaf people throughout the world.
Sammer Bharti IFS was the chief Guest on the occasion, entrust upon to encourage these children for participation in more such events.
Eminent who spoke on the occasion include Rohan Lal Bhan Prinicipal of the school, Umesh Sharma Chairman Disabled Care Foundation, Deepika Singh Chairperson Voice for Rights, Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana academy and Rajesh Gupta Secretary Mindscape Educationaland Environmental trust.

Yoga classes along with Stress free Art Excel workshops for such children voluntarily in future. The Event was supported by the Bharti Infra Tel, Paryas, and Krishana Computers.
Among other prominent on the occasion include Mohd. Nirvana Academy organized dance workshop for deaf and dumb children

Jammu, Sep. 22: Nirvana Academy – A Cultural Club organized dance workshop for deaf and dumb children at J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra(Secondary School for hearing handicapped children), Shaheedi Chowk Jammu. Organizations like Disabled Care Foundation, Mindscape Environmental and Educational trust, Voice for Rights also supported the cause.

A Seven days long workshop concluded here today in which 17 boys and girls of the school took part. Paramjeet kour a dance choreographer from Jammu trained the children in different forms of dance. Dogri dances were also prepared by the children during the dance workshop.

Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy thanked Roshan Lal Bhan Principal of the school, management and staff for their support and cooperation. Badyal said that it was a great pleasure for our team to work with these specially able children. He also added that a programme shall also be organized for the participants of workshop. Other prominent presented were Umesh Sharma President Disabled Care foundation, Ashutosh Sharma Volunteer for better India and Tahir Mushtaq. Rachna Sharma teacher of the school assisted the dance workshop and helped the dance choreographer to understand the sign language of children. Vishali Raina, Diksha Deol, Khushboo, Nidhi, Monica, Baby, Rukaya Bano, Rakshanda, Jyoti Choudhary, Rashmi, Shivali, Seema, Naiz Ali, Richu, Raj Kumar, Naveel and Vikash participated in the dance workshop.  

To mark International week of deaf people, tomorrow a programme will be organized in the premises of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra in which school students will take part in cultural programme, painting competition and tree plantation drive.

Kishore Kumar remembered by Aarohi & Nirvana Academy at K.L Saigal Hall


Jammu, September 15: Today Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya pays tribute to the Legendary Singer Kishore Kumar. “An evening with Kishore Kumar” a musical tribute was organized by Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya with the support of Cultural club Nirvana Academy and Catch 3T – A Social Society and library at K.L Saigal Hall. Sh. Ashutosh Sharma a noted classical singer and teacher was the chief guest on the occasion while Indu Chopra President Catch 3T was the guest of honour on the occasion.
 
Little kids Kunwar, Rishan and Priana of Vidhalaya sung melodious songs of kishore kumar on the occasion followed by a singing competition on kishore’s song. 12 participants were selected for the competition.

Dharmesh Nargotra a vetren singer and Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy adjudged the singing competition. Shami Kumar, Ankit Kumar, Harpreet Singh, Abhishek Kalotra, Munish Virdi, Raman deep Singh, Gourav Dhavan, Amit Kumar, Samreen Singh and Arush Gupta took part in the competition. Rahul Kumar anchored the programme.



Participants from different parts of Jammu took part in the event. Kuldeep Kumar Director of the institute told on the occasion that Vidhalaya is organizing programmes to provide stage to budding artists as well as providing training in instrumental music as well as light and classical singing. He also highlighted the achievements and contribution of Kishore Kumar. Kishore Kumar, who once followed Kundan Lal Saigal’s singing style, took no time to make a niche for himself in Bollywood as a singer. Kishore Da soon developed his own unique singing fashion which featured yodeling and went on to become an eternal heartthrob.

It was music director RD Burman who encouraged his singing talent and teamed up with Kumar to deliver many hit songs like ‘Maana Janaab Ne Pukara Nahin’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’, ‘Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka’ etc. From Rajesh Khanna to Amitabh Bachchan, Kishore Kumar has given his melodious voice to many superstars. Kishore Da, with 8 Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer to his credit, was undoubtedly one of the most valuable artists that Hindi Cinema ever had. Chief Guest Ashutosh Sharma told on the occasion that these kinds of activities strengthen the confidence of participants and provided them the stage experience. Certificates and trophies distributed to all the participants. Gourav won the competition while Abhishek shared 2nd prize and 3rd prize bagged by Samreen Singh.

Guitar Clinic at Rich Heritage School

Jammu, September 07: Highly Talented and versatile Guitarist Sohail Mushtaq spellbound the students of Heritage Strings - School Of Rock with his melodious compositions on guitar. A musical program “Music Moments” organized by Heritage Strings –“School Of Rock” in association with Nirvana Academy – A Cultural Club at Rich Heritage School, Bakshi Nagar Jammu.

 On the occasion, a guitar recital was presented by Sohail Mushtaq, one of the finest lead guitarist of Jammu, who is also playing with the famous Anmol Amla and the band . Workshop cum demo session was also presented by Sohail in which he interacted with the students of institute and made them aware with different Genre of Music on guitar. His unique style of presenting the sounds of various instruments like Santoor, Santood, Violin, Veena, Mohan veena (Hawain Guitar) on electric guitar was the main attraction of the program. He even showed students the various form of Rock music like soft Rock, Hard Rock, Aggressive Rock, Prograsive Rock,etc. Suhail Mushtaq started his career with a Rock Band Rumours and is playing guitar from the last five years. 

Roma Wani Gen Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society was happy to see the interest of Rock music among the young lads and said that Music Moments with Suhail Mushtaq and the students of Heritage Strings –School Of Rock took her back to her young time and reminded her the music of Elvin Presley which she use to hear in her young days. She added that one must learn music with passion and should be deeply involved in it. She appreciated Anmol Amla for his success in the music field and for all his efforts to train the young boys and girls who are learning music at his School Of Rock. 

Anmol Amla, Director Heritage Strings –School Of Rock thanked the guest and the students and he said that Heritage Strings-School of Rock is the only institute in Jammu which is providing training, skills in Rock and Western Music. This year Heritage strings also introduced Indian Classical vocals. He also added that Heritage Strings is also providing career opportunities to young musicians and also forming bands in Jammu region. 

He also thanked Hitesh Badyal, President Nirvana Acadeny for their support and associated in this event.
