Nirvana Academy organized “Fit Women Fit Nation” Women Health and Fitness workshop

Jammu, 31 May: Strengthening its commitment for women empowerment and health awareness through  fitness in the city, Nirvana Academy organized its first ever fitness campaign workshop “Fit Women Fit Nation”, spreading massage of healthy life  through Doonya Fitness workouts with Aarti Mahajan (Reebok & Doonya Trainer  Certified ) a fitness enthusiast.
The workshop was organized in collaboration with Amar Singh
Club and was supported by the Little Millennium Play way School through its CEO Akhila Magotra, Surya groups, Bharti infratel, Coca cola, DJ Herry Singh, Shape and smile fitness club etc. The event was managed by creative insights (Events and Tour Managers). 
The work shop was inaugurated by Sh. Raman Bhalla, Hon’ble Minister for Housing , Horticulture , Sports ,Youth and
Culture,  who was the chief guest on the occasion while Sh Rajesh Sharma Chairman J & K Cooperative Union, Sh. Satish Mahajan CMD Surya groups, Sh. R.C Puri Secretary IRCS Jammu, Siddhart Sharma Secretary Amar Singh Club Jammu along with Ashutosh Bajaj Circle Business Head Bharti Infratel was special Guest on the occasion. The chief Guest on occasion along with participants was introduced about concept of workshop “Fit Women Fit Nation” - Fitness awareness campaign by Aarti Mahajan who is playing a large role in educating women on fitness and its role in one’s life in the city.
As many as hundred enthusiast young women from all age groups participated in the One & half hour workshop with a lot of enthusiasm and joy. Participants were thrilled and loved the moves and music which was more like fun and educative. The workshop offered young women fitness fanatics a platform to ignite their fitness fire on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Sh. Raman Bhalla applauding the role of organizer said such type of fitness workshop encourage women to take control of their health: to learn the facts they need to make smart health choices, and to
make time for regular physical activity.  He urged upon the organizer to conduct more such workshops especially for the young sportswomen of the state which would go a long way in their harmonious development. 
Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy while speaking on the occasion said that Nirvana Academy has always initiated programmer with a difference& today workshop is one such effort to make a difference in the life of female with such awareness campaign.  Today’s workshop is nothing but Seeing the power of music, movement, body control and grace, all packed into one
 embracing ourselves to feel each of the emotions . He promised more such workshops with the help of public support. Prominent among the others were Sh. Vikas Dogra Vice President, Prayas, Sh. Abhay Maini from Creative insights, Sh. Vikrant Dogra Vice President FIBDO, Smt. Meenakshi Sharma

Nirvana Academy organized Dogri folk music programme “Duggar Rang”

Jammu, 23 May: Continuing with its efforts to organize cultural programmes to showcase the state’s rich Dogri folk music, Nirvana Academy a regd. Cultural club today organized a scintillating Dogri folk music programme “Duggar Rang” at K.L Saigal hall where various artists of Jammu region enthralled a huge gathering with Dogri and Pahari folk songs. Programme was supported by Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi.
Sh. Krishan Lal Verma, famous tabla player and Retd. H.O.D Fine Arts College Jammu was the chief guest while Sh. Vikrant Dogra Vice President Federation of Indian Blood Donors was the special guest on the occasion. 
President Nirvana Academy Sh. Hitesh Badyal started the programme with a condolence speech to mourn the death of Legendary Dogri folk singer Late Sh. Pradhuman Singh Jindrahia. Honorary Member Nirvana Academy, a prolific poet and folk singer, he has 10 books to his credit comprising Dogri songs, bhajans and folk songs.
Introducing the artists to the jam-packed audience, President Nirvana Academy takes pride in showcasing the most outstanding young singers of the state who have made their name in the music world with their sheer capability and hard work. 
Ten singing sensations of the state viz.,  Kuldeep Kumar, Victor, Arti, Asha, Amit Bhawra, Ankit, Pranav, Ruchi, Riya and Nikhil featured in the programme of Dogri folk music. Haripriya and Kunwar two child artist of the state also enthralled the audience with their melodious voice.
Programme started with a bhajan, written by Late Sh. Praduman Singh Jindrahia. Kuldeep Kumar sung “tus ge jaani jaan prahu ji” and paid his tribute to legendary folk singer Praduman Singh Jindrahia. Kuldeep Kumar a classical trained singer brought the flavour of the dogri music in his singing and transported audience to Duggar culture through his mesmerizing folk songs. 
Amit Bhawara sung “Gali gali banjara” while Arti and Asha sung “Kapade toa Kane roa kunjua” “Pal bhar bai jaana”, which were highly appericiated by the audience. 
Haripriya and Kunwar child artist of the state took the musical evening to a new graph when both performed “Chan mada chadeya” in a duet performance. Haripriya and Kunwar have won many singing titles at state and national level. Naresh Kumar accompanied on tabla and victor on flute. Pronav Kumar accompanied on percussions “Mrakash”. 
Chief guest Sh. K.L Verma appreciated the singing talent of young generation of J&K artist. “Artists like Ghulam Mohammad and Praduman Singh have been contributing to the folk but there is a need for more singers,” he said and added, Verma strongly feels that folk singing is under fire and stressed that, “It needs to be preserved at any cost otherwise there will be an identity crisis for Dogri music”.
Meenakshi Sharma General Secretary Nirvana Academy thanked Secretary, Sangeet Natak Academy for his kind cooperation and financial assistance to organize Dogri folk music programme.
Programme was professionally compared and conducted by Tarun Sharma. Prominent among others were Dr. Kewal Samnotra, Sh. Neeraj Sharma Vice President NA, Nishant Vaid Pr and Publicity Secretary NA, Santosh Sharma, Shaveta Sharma and Paramjeet Kour.
