Nirvana Academy organizes musical programme to mark “World Music Day”



Universal language of music marks celebration of World Music day by Jammuiets Musicians 

21 June, Jammu: To celebrate the spirit of music in all its forms, Nirvana Academy organized a musical evening on “World Music Day” at auditorium Women college parade where in renowned musicians and vocalists with their rich musical tradition dedicated their music to build peace and goodwill in our land to bring us love, respect especially for women who are not safe now a days and are victim of heinous crime.
The event was organized by Nirvana Academy A Regd. Cultural
Club with the support of Surya Milk, Little Millennium Play way Chain of schools, Darpan Beauty Saloon, K.C Biscuits, Royal Concepts Krishna Colour Lab and String the institute of Spanish Guitar as Musical partner. The event was managed by Insight Creative Tour & travels.
Sh Shantumanu, I.A.S Divisional commissioner Jammu was Chief Guest on the occasion. The events featured the unplugged instrumental performances by Naresh Kumar on Flute, Jagjeet Singh Ishar on Mouth Organ, Vikas bawa on Thumping Guitar, Anish Mattoo, Ripan and Kuldeep Kumar on  making listeners get to hear something never before heard making it memorable one. 
The musical evening also saw performances of Young budding artists like Sanchit Sharma , Bhargavie Raj, Suyash Raj Shivam and Nandini Kapoor on  memorable numbers like “Kabhi jo badal barse” “Gali mei aaj chand nikla, “Hum Bewafa Hargiz na the” and “Raat akeli Hai Bug gaye diye”.
The surprised package of the evening was playing of unheard versions of hit songs like “Chu kar mere Man ko “, “Kisi ki muskarahto pe ho nisar” and “Pal Pal dil ke pass” as instrumental on Hawin Guitar by Shantumanu Divisional
commissioner Jammu which not only spellbound musical lovers but also become a source of inspiration among the young budding artists of the city who were part of the audience present on occasion.
Shantmanu while speaking on occasion said that Music is a vital form of communication. It’s a manifestation of society in a particular time and place. Music
needs no restrictions, boundaries; it bonds us irrespective of who we are, and where we are from. It’s a source of entertainment as well as platform to put across past, present and future generation musician , artists and music lover at one plat form & there can be no better day for such occasion other than “ world Music Day “ . 
  Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy while speaking on occasion said that an event as such has never been done before in the city. Nirvana Academy organized this event to provide a great platform to bring all the musicians together to
showcase their talent. 
He promised of continue with the tradition their academy’s desire to bring up first women band of the city for which Nirvana will provide all possible assistance & support to make it reality. Prominent among the others were Arunima Sinha Secretary IAS wives association, Pardeep Dutta from Times Now jammu, Jyoti Pachnanda from Sahara Jammu, R.C Puri Secretary IRCS Jammu, Satish Gupta CMD Surya Milk, Umesh Sharma from K.C Biscuits, Hemu Karki Instructor AOL, Ranjan Mahajan from Royal Concepts, Vikrant Dogra Vice President FIBDO, Vikas Dogra Vice President Prayas, Abhay Maini, Gautam Kotwal, Puran Singh Wazir and Akash Mahajan. Sumit Sharma anchored the programme.

Nirvana Academy’s 10 day painting camp gets underway


Jammu, 16 June: Nirvana Academy takes off 10 day painting camp at Pammy art academy, Sanjay nagar Jammu to make children skilful in painting and to promote the art of painting among the children of the state. students from different parts of jammu are participating in the camp. Some local prominent artist shall also be invited in the camp for interaction with the children
and aware them about the local art and painters of jammu. Children will also learn the basics including trace, sketching, brush and pencil strokes, colour mixing etc in the camp.
Param jeet kour “Pammy” chief instructor of the camp told on the occasion that Nirvana academy is playing a pivotal role in promoting performing arts, culture and
through these camps helping children to improve their artistic skills.
Prominent among others presented on the inaugural day were Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy, Neeraj Sharma Vice President NA, Meenakshi Sharma, General Secretary NA, Nishant Vaid, Shaveta Sharma, Nishat Khan and Paramjeet Kour.

Nirvana Academy organised “Rakt Daan Maha Daan” Dogri Short play to mark World Blood Donor’s Day


Jammu, 13 June 2014: To mark World Blood Donor’s Day and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Karl Landsteiner, the
founder of “ABO” Blood grouping system, Nirvana Academy and Federation of Indian Blood donors organisations (FIBDO) presented a short play “Rakt Daan Maha Daan” .Sh. Satish Sharma President President LYC Jammu Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion.
Paramjeet Kour a rich lady who always believed in the power of money, one day she was asked to donate blood for a cause but she refused and said that she has lot of money and she can purchase blood with money whenever she required.  Paramjeet got a call and came to know that her brother got injured in an accident and urgently need blood.  Tarun Sharma a noted actor of the city performed the character of an old man. Paramjeet asked the old man to help her and donate blood to save her brother’s life. Old man said that he
is too old to donate blood but he will help her to ask people to donate blood.  They went to Sameer a modern city boy and asked him to donate blood. Sameer refused to donate blood. He said that he had a fear in donating blood. He offered money to paramjeet and asked  her to purchase blood for his brother. Paramjeet got tears in her eyes and cried that no one wants to give blood even she offered money to many people and even she could not donate blood because her blood group did not match with the blood group of her brother. In the end Old man appealed all the people to became blood donor in life and donate blood time to time to save human lives.
 Chief Guest Sh. Satish Sharma lauded and appreciated the enthusiasm of the artists performed in the play and said that
such type of blood donation awareness activities should be organised in future also.
Vikrant Dogra  Vice President FIBDO thanked Tarun Sharma and his team for such a wonderful performance and promised that Nirvana Academy & FIBDO will provide platform to such artists in future also. Artists performed were Tarun Sharma, Paramjeet Kour, Sameer bhati, Sourav Sharma, Nikhil Sharma and Rahul Sharma. Play was written and directed by Tarun Sharma.
Prominent among the others were Vikas Dogra VP Prayas, Meenakshi Sharma General Secretary NA, Nishant Vaid Secretary NA, Abhay Maini and Ashutosh Sharma.

Nirvana Academy organises Golden Guitar Fest. 2014

Jammu, 03 June: Keeping the tradition of exploring the talent and providing a platform to young budding artists, Nirvana Academy organised fifth successful season of Golden Guitar fest. on an awareness theme “Say no to Tobacco”.
Sizzling and commendable performance by the young guitarists left the audience spell bound for hours together during solo, duet and group guitar categories competition. Programme was
organised in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu at Auditorium, Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawani in which more than hundred of participants from different parts of the country took part. Sh. Puran Singh Wazir Golden Guitar Awardee 2012 and Sh. Goutam Kotwal Guitarist & owner of Mythya band adjudged the guitar competition
On the occasion, Sh. R.C Puri, Honorary Secretary Red Cross
was the chief guest while Sh. Vikrant Dogra Vice President FIBDO, Sh. Naresh Kumar Sharma Golden Guitar awardee2010 and founder of Strings was the guest of honour.
Programme commenced with a guest lecture on NO-tobacco awareness in which issues related to tobacco consumers especially youth were raised. India is at number three in the production of tobacco products and second as tobacco consumers in the world. J&K has high incidence of smoking and J&K is also becoming the lung cancer capital of India due to increased smoking prevalence across all section of the society.
While speaking on the occasion, Chief guest Sh. R.C Puri said that he is so overwhelmed on seeing the indepth talent among the youth and young kids.

Tarun Sharma noted actor and RJ anchored the programme.
