Nirvana Academy presents “Rakt Daan Maha Daan” Dogri Short play in Jammu Natya Utsav 2014.

Jammu, 19 July 2014: Today Nirvana Academy a regd. Cultural club staged “Rakt Daan Maha Daan” a Dogri short play in the fifth day of ongoing Jammu Natya Utsav at K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu.
Story of the play resolves around Pammy a rich girl who always believed in the power of money was asked one day by her friend to donate blood for a cause but she refused by saying that girls don’t donate blood and if she required blood someday she will purchase blood for herself as she has lot of money.
One day Pammy got a cal and came to know that her brother has gone through an accident and she has to arrange blood urgently for her brother. Since her blood group did not match with the blood group of her brother, she asked doctors to take money for providing blood but doctors refused. Then she asked an old man to donate blood for her brother’s life but old man refused to donate blood because of his old age. Old man assured Pammy that he will help her in arranging blood for her brother. Both went to some college students but they refused to donate blood saying that they have a fear in donating blood. Then they went to a business man and request him to donate blood but like other people, he also offered money to purchase blood for her brother.
Pammy got tears in her eyes and realised the importance of donating blood. The play ends with the old man appealing people to donate blood time to time to save human lives.
Artists performed in the play were Tarun Sharma, Paramjeet Kour, Sameer bhatti, Nikhil Sharma, Rahul Kumar, Vikas Jasrotia, Shubam Singh, Gulshan Kumar and Rohit Sharma. Play was written and directed by Tarun Sharma.
Jammu Natya Utsav 2014 was organised by Aditya Bhanu and Nav Durga Kala Manch in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages.
