Nirvana Academy organizes Painting Competition on theme "Swachh Bharat" at Ramban



RAMBAN, Aug 22:  Nirvana Academy a regd. cultural club today organized painting competition on theme ‘Swachh Bharat’ in collaboration with Municipal Committee Ramban in the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School Ramban, here today.

Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Ramban, Zubaida Parveen was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Head Draftman PWD R&B Ramban, Gurbachan Singh was judge over the competition.

A total of 60 students of 12 schools includes Nav Bharat Public School, Indian Star English Medium School, Government City Middle School, National Academy, Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School, Government High School Parnot, Chenab English Medium High School, Vishal Academy, Government Boys Middle School, New Convent School and Golden Era Public School besides Prayas Hemkrish Middle School were participated in the daylong competition.


Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that there is acute need to aware the masses about the cleanliness of their surroundings.


She appreciated the efforts made by Nirvana Academy Organizing Secretary Ramban Tahir Mushtaq for conducting such event in the interest of general public.


Principal Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School Pardeep Singh Thakur thanks the guest and Nirvana Academy for organizing the competition.


The first, second and third prize won by Muskaan Sajad from National Academy, Mrigakshi Khajuria from Vishal Academy and Bhawani Devi from New Convent School respectively whereas the consolation prize were awarded to first fifteen participants.


 Sh. Madan Lal Sanitary Supervisor and Sanjay kumar Sharma food safety officer were also presented on the occasion. The overall event was organized by Nirvana Academy Organizing Secretary Ramban Tahir Mushtaq.

“Sur Tarang” solo singing programme organised


10 AUGUST 2015, Jammu: To provide platform for children and budding artists AkSv in collaboration with Nirvana Academy a regd. Cultural club today organised “Sur tarang” solo singing programme at Red Cross Auditorium, Kachi Chawani Jammu. Programme was supported by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region.

Shri R.C Puri, Honorary Secretary IRCS Jammu region was the chief guest while Shri Ashutosh Sharma classical singer, Shri Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy and Shri Suresh Sharma noted painter were the guest of honour on the occasion. Shri Deepak Sharma was the special guest on the occasion.

Programme commenced with the welcome speech of Kuldeep Kumar Director AKSV followed by performances of Sourabh, Shammi, Rohit, Anitika and Sushant in senior group. Special performance by Amit Bhawra “Suno na Sangemarmar” spellbound the audience.

Performances of Gandhrav, Arnav, Anandi, Aditya, Haripriya and Kunwar in junior group were highly appreciated by the audience.

Dance and Singing competition organizes by Nirvana Academy at Ramban



RAMBAN, July 26:  Nirvana Academy organized Grand Finale of its ongoing Round 3 Rural and Urban Talent Hunt of dance and singing competition on the concluding day of the five daylong event in which students from nine schools of Ramban tehsil participated besides some college students. The event comprises Audition, workshop and final competition held at Community Hall, Maitra Ramban.

MLA Ramban, Sh Neelam Kumar Langeh was the chief guest whereas Farm Manager Horticulture, Ramban Sh Rajinder Kumar Lochan and prominent citizen Mushtaq Ahmed Nizami were guest of honor on occasion besides Principal Bharatiya Mandir (BVM) School Sh Pardeep Kumar and prominent citizen Sh Vishav Bhandu were the special guest.
While showing his happiness Sh Neelam Kumar Langeh said that Ramban district has very talented people and congratulate the Nirvana Academy President Hitesh Badyal and Organising Secretary Ramban Tahir Mushtaq for organizing such a grand event to promote the budding talent for Ramban.

He requested the president Nirvana Academy to conduct a series of workshop so that the aspirants get professional training and learn various techniques of dance and singing.
A total of 60 participants were compete in the competition in senior and junior besides two special performances and two group performances.
Speaking on the occasion President Nirvana Academy Sh Hitesh Badyal said that Nirvana Academy take this opportunity to promote the talent of Ramban and requested the MLA Ramban open a multipurpose auditorium in Ramban so that the budding artists will get a platform to display their talent.

He thanked the people of Ramban specially Principal BVM for their kind cooperation in making the event successful.
In the senior category of dance Ayaz Ali of Government Degree College, Saneha Parihar of Ramban Public School and Shaiesta Qayoom of Government Higher Secondary School stands first, second and third respectively whereas Rashu Raju of Government Higher Secondary School got consolation prize. Similarly, in junior category in dance Sarita Singh and Priyanka Thaghali both from Kamal Academy Chanderkote and Sakshi Parihar of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School got first, second and third prize whereas Akarshan Khajuria from Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School got consolation prize.

In the senior category of singing Tabasum Ara of Government Degree College, Zia-Ul-Rehman of Government Degree College and Parveen Akther of of Government Higher Secondary School stands first, second and third respectively whereas Soni Katoch of Government Higher Secondary School got consolation prize. Similarly, in junior category in singing Ritesha Manhas and Ayush Singh both from of National Academy, Imitiyaz Ahmed of Ramban Public School got first, second and third prize whereas Meet Sharma from Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School got consolation prize.
The special performance award in singing was given to Meenu Puri and Nusrat Malik.
The selected candidates got trained in three day workshop by trainers from Jammu includes choreographers Anu Bhardwaj and Sanjeev Mangotra besides Singer Amit Bhawra from Pathankote. Where the competition was adjudged by Sh Kuldeep Kumar (MA Music) renowned classical/gazal singer and guitarist and President Nirvana Academy Hitesh Badyal.

The overall event was organized by Nirvana Academy Organizing Secretary Ramban Tahir Mushtaq. The grand finale was anchored by Singer Meenu Puri from Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School.

Nirvana Academy organises Round one for Rural and Urban Talent Hunt at Ramban


22 July 2015: To promote the budding talent in rural and urban areas of the state Nirvana Academy a cultural club registered under J&K Government organized a five day long dance and singing programme, which was organized under the name of ‘Round 3 Rural and Urban Talent Hunt’ at Tehsil and District Ramban in the first phase.
On the first day of this programme auditions of around 100 contestant from different government and private schools across Ramban was conducted at Community Hall, Maitra Ramban in which 40 participated were selected who will perform in grand finale by the judges. The talent hunt was commenced today and will conclude on July 26, 2015 with the Grand Finale. MLA Ramban, Sh Neelam Kumar Langeh will be the chief guest on the Grand Finale besides other dignitaries.
Judges cum Trainers from Jammu includes choreographers Anu Bhardwaj and Sanjeev Mangotra besides Singer Amit Bhawra from Pathankote will groom the selected participants of Ramban in the Round two workshop.
Nirvana Academy organized this event with the support of Heritage Strings School of Rock, Aastha Diagnostic Centre, Jammu and FIBDO besides Surya Milk.
The event is organized by Tahir Mushtaq organizing secretary Nirvana Academy, Ramban.


Children Summer carnival 2015 held

18 July 2015: Dance Revolution Academy in collaboration with Nirvana Academy a regd. Cultural club today organised a children dance programme “Children Summer Carnival 2015” at Auditorium, Government Polytechnic College, Bikram chowk, Jammu. On the occasion, a dance competition was also held in
different categories of dance forms in which more than 50 participants from Jammu region took part. MLA Samba, Sh. Davinder Kumar Manyal was the chief guest on the occasion. Miss Shivani Sharma classical dance performer and Shri Hitesh Badyal adjudged the dance competition. Programme started with a kathak performance by DRA girls group followed by spellbound dance performances by Sahil from Samba and Kashish Thakyal. The
participants showcased their talent in the competition by performing regional, Indian as well as popular dance styles, which drew appreciation from the audience. Participants from school, colleges and institutes showed their skills in dance by performing in solo, duet and group age categories. Show was choreographed by Sanjeev Mangotra and Anu Bhardwaj. Prominent among the others were Sh. Harish Kaila, Tajinder Singh, Ramesh Kalotra, Yash pal
Yash, Vijay Sharma, Jyoti Parkash, Darbari lal and Bachan lal. Programme was supported by Sangam the education hub, Harman Dance Institute and Trikuta Digital Studio. Rajni Anubhav Anchored the programme.





NIRVANA ACADEMY, INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY JAMMU REGION & AARADHAYA YOGA TRUST CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

21 June 2015: In order to recognized the significance of Yoga, INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY, JAMMU REGION in association with Aaradhaya Yoga Trust, Nirvana Academy Regd.Club, and Other likeminded organizations has Celebrated INDYA (International Day of Yoga) with demonstration of yogic postures and practice with a Theme of “ YOGA FOR HARMONY & PEACE” ON 21ST June, 2015 at Peer Kho Park, Circular Road, Jammu in which large number of Sadhaka participated.
Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Hon’ble MLA, Jammu East was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He lauded the role of Indian Red Cross Society, Aaradhaya Yoga Trust and other associated organizations for their philanthropic service to the humanity by organizing this Event.

Nirvana Academy confers 2015 “Golden Guitar” Award to Gautam Kotwal


Gautam Kotwal, founder and Lead guitarist, Mythya Band has been accorded the “Golden Guitar” Award for his outstanding contribution and achieving excellence in the field of guitar/music with a dedication to the public interest and monumental contributions to the development of the art and life of guitar.
Nirvana Academy a regd cultural club presented 2015 “Golden Guitar” Award to Gautam Kotwal, in a function held at Auditorium, Red Cross, Kachi Chawani Jammu. MLA Jammu East Mr. Rajesh Gupta and Secretary Indian Red Cross society, Jammu region attended the program and honoured Kotwal.
“Since 2010, the Award has been conferred upon outstanding individuals whose careers and advocacy have had a social impact. We also wanted to highlight the impact of an individual who is in the forefront of artists who have made the choice to help change Jammu and Kashmir State for better. Gautam Kotwal is a unique candidate in this regard and is a wonderful addition to our distinguished group of honourees, said President of Nirvana Academy.
Gautam Kotwal, the guitarist, song writer and composer, known for his philanthropy, has a long history of civic and humanitarian outreach through music which has benefitted the upcoming and needy musicians of Jammu and Kashmir. For more than 15 years, Gautam Kotwal has been making music loved by many and he has used his success to help others. Gautam started learning guitar way back in 1992 under the mentorship of Jagmeet Singh Raina and Sanjay Pashi. There were two mentors who made his basics concepts of guitar regarding theory and creativity in music. From there then it was a self taught journey begins. His first band was Scorpio in which he played bass guitar and then in 2006 he made his maiden band Mythya. He mostly southern groove metal on guitar. Gautam did many concerts for social awareness and social cause He was also honoured by Indian Red Cross Society in 2014. Many budding artists are benefitted under the advisory of Gautam Kotwal.


Nirvana Academy organises “Guitar Clinic”


Jammu, 12 June 2015: Nirvana Academy today organised “Guitar Clinic” a musical instrumental presentation on guitar in which highly talented and noted guitarist Mr. Gautam Kotwal spellbound the audience, participants and children presented in the programme.
On the occasion, a guitar recital presented which was followed by a workshop and demo session in which Gautam interacted with the children and budding artists of the state and made them aware with modern techniques of guitar playing and different genre of music on guitar. 
Gautam Kotwal, one of the finest and senior lead guitarists of State. He is also owner and lead guitarist of famous Mythya Rock band.
MLA Jammu East Sh. Rajesh Gupta was the chief guest while Sh. R.C Puri Secretary IRCS was the guest of honour on the occasion. Rajesh Gupta lauded the performance of Gautam Kotwal and said that he is happy to see children participated in these kinds of activities. He appreciated the initiative of Nirvana Academy cultural club.
In the second half Prize distribution function for Golden Guitar festival organised in which chief guest Sh. Rajesh Gupta and other chief dignitaries honoured the winners of golden guitar festival. Others who were presented on the occasion were Sh. Sameer Bharti, Ms Hemu Karki, Sh. Hitesh Badyal, Smt. Santosh, Sh. Vikrant Dogra, Sh. Vikul Gupta, Dr. Kewal Samnotra, Smt. Nirvana Academy organises 6th season of Golden Guitar festival

24 MAY 2015, Jammu: The Nirvana Academy a regd. Cultural club today organised a guitar competition for the “Golden Guitar” festival at Auditorium, Government Women College, Parade, Jammu. The fest was held in different categories of Guitar music in which more than 70 participants from Jammu region took part. The participants showcased their talent in the competition by performing regional, Indian as well as popular music on guitar, which drew appreciation from the audience. Gautam Kotwal lead guitarist of Mythya band and P.S Wazir Golden Guitar Awardee/Retd. Army officer adjudged the guitar contest. Participants from school, colleges and institutes showed their skills on guitar by playing leads and chords. Participants from Strings, Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidyalaya, Banyan International, Heritage Strings – School of Rock, Guitar Head, Rhythm Music Institute,
Jodhamal Public School, Heritage School and K.C International School were also awarded. Festival inaugurated with the spell bound performance of Al Hana Babar followed by instrumental guitar solo, duet and group competition. Prominent among the others were Sh. R.C Puri Secretary IRCS, Ms Hemu Karki Teacher AOL, Pradeep Dutta from Times Now, Vikrant Dogra Vice Chairman FIBDO, Ashutosh Dubey, Vikul Gupta from State Analyst, Naresh Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar, Anish Mattoo,
Sahil Sharma, Subhash Dey Golden Guitar Awardee, Sham Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Richard Teji, Anmol Amla, Meenakshi Sharma, Nishant Vaid, Amrit Paul Singh, Avnish Sharma, vikas Bawa and Happy Sir. Smiley Tanujai anchored the programme.
