Nirvana Academy celebrates 2nd International Yoga Day at Billawar


Billawar, 21 June: To celebrate 2nd International Yoga day and to aware people about the benefits of yoga, Nirvana Academy organised yoga session for people of different ages at Billawar. Kritika Sharma yoga trainer from billawar along with Rohit Sharma chief organisor Nirvana Academy Billawar took initiative to aware people of billawar about yoga.
Kritika Sharma said that the people of 177 countries are celebrating yoga day for bringing in peace and harmony in their lives. She appealed the people especially youth and children to adopt yoga in their day to day life for prosperity and peace.
Programme started with Om chanting and followed by breathing exercises and some basic asanas to mark the celebration.
Prominent among the others were Mankisha Upadhyay, Harshita Sharma, Anmol, Tanya Sharma, Seema Devi, Chetna Sharma and Anita Upadhyay.



Nirvana Academy Celebrates World Music Day

Jammu, 21 June: Nirvana Academy today celebrated World Music day in the premises of Bal Mandir, Amphalla Jammu with the aim to encourage and provide an opportunity to the children of home.
The day was celebrated to mark the 34th world Music day and was supported by Arohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya.

The event commenced with the group song performance “Teri Hai zameen Tera Aasma” which was highly appreciated by the audience followed by songs like Ishwar Allaha Tero Naam , Maa , Chithi Na koi Sandesh , Aye Mere pyare Vatan and so on The audience was spellbound with the special performance given by Kuldeep Kumar .

As many as 15 participants sung under the guidance of Sh kuldeep Kuamr Singer and Music composer performed the various songs on the occasion including students from Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya and Nirvana Academy. Those who sung on the occasion include Menka, Janvi, Usha, Vidhshi, Ayushi , Amanat, Monika, Dolma , Saloni Pooja , Hari Priya Kunwar Sourav Sonik Aditya. The Participant was accompanied by Sourav on Guitar and Kuldeep on Harmonium.

President Nirvana academy Santosh Sharma while interaction with the children highlighted the importance of this day. She added that Music Day would be nothing without music . It’s a great opportunity for musicians of all ages and there will be plenty of places for you to play music.
The management of the Bal Niketan lauded the efforts of the Academy for organizing such a event in their premises which not only created an awareness but also provided an opportunity to the children of their home in exploring their talent.
All the participants were felicitated with the certificate of participation on the occasion.

Those who were present on the occasion include Meena Gupta, Aruna Gupta, Naveen Gupta, Rajinder Kumar, Renu Dhar, Meenakshi Sharma, Ashutosh, Neeraj Sharma , Shaveta Sharma and Nishant Vaid.

Music Workshop concluded at Orphanage home Amphala


Jammu, 19 June: A 15 days long music workshop was concluded at Orphanage home Amphala, here today. Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidyalaya in collaboration with Nirvana Academy a regd. cultural club Conducted 15 days training programme with orphanage Amphala Jammu where basics of singing is being shared among the neglected but talented children of our most dignified society.
Smt. Santosh Sharma President Nirvana Academy, Mr. Kuldeep Kumar Director Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidyalaya, Mrs. Renu Dhar Art & Craft Teacher were the Chief Guest and Organiser of the function. Function is being attended by 130 orphan students and 30 students of Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidyalaya.
Kuldeep Kumar Director Aarohi Kala Sangeet vidhalaya thanked the management and staff of Orphanage home for supporting the music workshop. He also thanked Santosh Sharma President Nirvana Academy for helping in organising such social cultural programmes.He also showed gratitude towards founder Nirvana Academy for participating in the final day programme. Sourab Sonik and Munish were also presented on the occasion.
Gifts were also being shared amongst the children.

Nirvana Academy organised "Rut Raade" festival

JAMMU, June 14: Nirvana Academy a cultural club organized folk festival of Duggar, “Rut Raade” at Shakti Nagar, where the “Raade” were planted and decorated. Songs related to `Rut Raade’ festival were also sung by the females and folk artists.

Aim of the programme is to aware the new generation about the folk festivals, culture and traditions of Dogra culture. Women and children from diffrent walks of life took part in the programme.They sung geetru and many regional dogri songs on the occasion. A get to gather was also organised in which ladies and children shared home made Dogra food.



President Nirvana Academy, Santosh Sharma while extending gratitude appreciated the performance of females participated in rangoli and folk song programmes. She further said that this type of festivals helps us to know more about our culture and tradition adding that it also aware the new generation about our history of Duggar culture. She mentioned that people from all walk of society come forward to promote and celebrate these festival to preserve the tradition.



She also thanked Rohit Sharma Organising Secretary for the success of the festival and advised him to organise more cultural dogra festival in future.

This folk festival of Duggar is celebrated throughout Jammu region. It starts from Ist day of Aashad & culminates on 1st day of Sharavan of the Bikrami Samvat. This year the festival started on June 14, with the sowing of Kharief seeds in the pitcher necks which are inserted into the ground and beautifully decorated with natural dry colours.




Prominent among the others were Meenakshi Sharma General Secretary NA, Shaveta Badyal Cashier NA, Darshna Devi, Rita Sharma, Seema Angotra, Rajesh Balla and children who participated were Amiksha Angotra, Manya Angotra, Sehaj Verma, Aaradhya Verma.

Nirvana Academy, Labour Department organizes awareness camp on Child Labour

RAMBAN, June 08: An awareness camp cum debate competition on the theme of ‘Child Labour’ was organized by Department of Labour in collaboration with Nirvana Academy a cultural club in the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School, here today.


Tehsildar Ramban, Gurpreet Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Ramban Ganshyam Basorta and Deputy Chief Education Officer (DyCEO) Ramban Bal Ji Thaploo besides principal of the school Pardeep Singh Thakur were dignitaries on the occasion.


As many as six students from the school participated in the debate competition.
Speaking on the occasion Tehsildar Ramban, Gurpreet Singh laid stressed on the acute need to protect the child from this menace of Child Labour.


He said that labour department should work in liaison with education department and various NGO’s to trace the whereabouts of the school dropouts who may be probable child labours .He stressed on generating more awareness to curb the problem of child labour and protecting the rights and interests of minors.


ALC Ganshyam Basotra apprised the students and staff about number of welfare schemes which can be handy for rehabilitation of children. He further said that it is a need of hour to strictly deal with it and stringent action under the Law should be taken against those found guilty of employing minors as labours.
He added that need was felt to spread the awareness among the general public.


He stressed on ensuring that the provisions of various Acts for labour welfare are implemented in letter and spirit and there is strict adherence to norms by the organisations. ALC said that the department is entrusted upon with the responsibility to maintain dignity of labourers and protect their interests.


Bal Ji Thaploo said to keep hold of this practice education department has started several schemes including free education, mid day meal, free uniform and books for the students in government education institutions.



Principal of the school thanked all the dignitaries present and request the Labour Department and Nirvana Academy Chief Organisor Ramban Tahir Mushtaq to conduct such programmes in future also.


In the debate competition Shakshi Parihar, Parinita Puri and Yudhveer Singh Chib won first second and third prize respectively. Whereas stage proceedings were ably conducted by Meenu Puri.

Nirvana Academy conducts Talent Search Programme at Ramban

 RAMBAN, June 01: To promote the budding talent of district Ramban Nirvana Academy a cultural club registered under J&K Government and affiliated by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Language organized a Talent Search Programme in the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School, here today.


 Talent Search Programme in the field of dance, singing, theatre and painting was conducted in which 150 contestant from different government and private schools across district Ramban and participants who were selected will get a chance to attend 10 day long workshop. The experts of the respective field from Jammu will provide training and professional tips to the participants in this workshop.
 All the participants were judged by expert choreographers Sanjeev Mangotra and Sanjay Kumar from Jammu besides Singer Nusrat Malik who also give feedback and tips on the spot.

The event is organized by Chief Organisor Nirvana Academy, Ramban Tahir Mushtaq. Tahir Mushtaq said that Nirvana Academy take this opportunity to promote the talent of Ramban besides trained them through these types of workshop, which will help them to choose their profession. He thanked the Principal BVM High School for their kind cooperation.

Other among the prominent were president Nirvana Academy Santosh Sharma secretary Nishant Vaid principal BVM High School Padeep Sharma and Ayaz Ali.

Army. Nirvana Academy organizes painting competition

RAMBAN, May 10: A painting competition was organized by 23 RR of Headquarter 11 Sector under the ages of Delta Force with Nirvana Academy in Al-Huda Public School, here today.

Around 40 students of the school participated in the competition and draw beautiful paintings in which Afreen Bano, Falak Amin and Tauiba Faitma all from 3rd class stands first, second and third respectively whereas Shasita Tanveer of 4th class got consolation prize.

Speaking on the occasion the principal of the school said such activities should organized frequently so that the students get the right platform to display their talent in extra co-circular activities. He appreciated the efforts made by Army and Nirvana Academy Organizing Secretary Ramban Tahir Mushtaq for conducting such events and requested them to organise these type of competitions in future as well. He thanked Army and Nirvana Academy for organizing the competition. Later tea, snacks were also served among the students and staff members.

Nirvana Academy organises dance and fitness programme on mother's day

Jammu,8 May: To mark mother’s day, Nirvana Academy today organised dance and fitness programme for mothers and kids at Dancing World, dance and fitness academy Bhawani nagar Jammu.

Smiley Tanuja Chahar Chettri Booiaka certified dance and fitness trainer was the guest trainer on the occasion. More than 10 women from different walks of life took part in the training programme. Programme commenced with a dance and fitness session under the guidance of Smiley Tanuja and Goldy Kalotra.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Nirvana Academy Meenakshi Sharma threw light on the importance of mother’s day. She said that Mother’s day is a celebration honouring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood maternal bonds, and the influence of the mothers in society.

Smiley Tanuja spoke on the occasion that Mothers spent less and less effort maintaining health through fitness because of their hectic day to day life at home as well as in offices. Where working out gave precious moments of alone time that are rare and necessary for mothers. It is important for mothers to stay active and maintain a healthy level of fitness.

Director Dancing world Goldy Kalotra thanked President Nirvana Academy for their support. He added that in future dancing world will organise more workshops and camps in their institute for women and children with the help of Nirvana Academy. He also thanked Smiley Tanuja for giving valuable fitness and dance session in the Dancing World institute. Women were honoured with participation certificate on the occasion.
