Nirvana Academy Organises Talent Search Programme "Billawar Got Talent"

28 August 2016: Nirvana Academy a registered cultural club organised Talent Search Programme "Billawar Got Talent" in the premises of Durga Bhawan, Nagotra gujjru, Billawar with the aim to encourage and provide an opportunity to the children, artists and youth in rural areas.
Sh. Sushil Sharma, SHO Billawar was the chief guest while Sh. Narayan Dutt Triphatti Senior BJP Leader, Smt Santosh Sharma President Nirvana Academy were guest of honour on the occasion.
The event commenced with the Dogri Dance performance which was highly appreciated by the audience followed by Singing, dance and Acting Competition in different age group categories. A solo act "Mei bhi beti hun" based on theme beti padao beti bachao by Nusrat Jahan spellbound the audience.
As many as 40 participants performed under the guidance of Rohit Sharma and Param Jeet Singh. Smiley Tanuja noted dance choreographer and Rapper Writer Rehain Prince adjudged the performances.
Chief Guest Sh. Sushil Sharma lauded the efforts of the Nirvana Academy for organizing such an event in Billawar which not only created an awareness but also provided an opportunity to the children and youth of rural areas.
President Nirvana academy Santosh Sharma said that Nirvana Academy take this opportunity to promote the talent of Billawar and shall organise art workshops for the budding talent of Billawar. She also appreciated the initiative taken by the organisers of the programme Rohit Sharma and Paramjeet Singh from Billawar. She also thanked  chief guest Sh. Sushil Sharma and other dignitaries for giving their valuable time.
Ravi Kumar, Chetan Verma and Karan Singh stands first, Second and third respectively in Senior Dance category where as first and second prize in junior dance category was won by Jagrit and Shivansh respectively.
Kashish Verma and Anjali won first and second prize respectively in Kids dance cateogry.
In Singing Mohd. Irfan won first prize where as Aatish Kumar and Neeraja Dogra got second and third prize respectively.
Hardik Singh got Best Rapping award where as Nusrat jahan won best acting award.
All the participants were felicitated with the trophies and certificate of participation on the occasion.








Debate competition on ‘Child Labour and ways to abolish it’ organised



RAMBAN, Aug 30: An awareness camp cum debate competition on the theme of ‘Child Labour and ways to abolish it’ was organized by Department of Labour in collaboration with Nirvana Academy a cultural club and NSS unit of Government Degree College Ramban in the premises of college, here today.

Principal of the college Dr Yudhveer Singh was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Ramban Ganshyam Basorta besides staff members of the college present in the function.

As many as seven students from the school participated in the debate competition.

Speaking on the occasion chief guest laid stressed on the acute need to protect the child from this menace of Child Labour.

He said that labour department should work in liaison with education department and various NGO’s to trace the whereabouts of the school dropouts who may be probable child labours .He stressed on generating more awareness to curb the problem of child labour and protecting the rights and interests of minors.

ALC Ganshyam Basotra apprised the students and staff about number of welfare schemes which can be handy for rehabilitation of children. He further said that it is a need of hour to strictly deal with it and stringent action under the Law should be taken against those found guilty of employing minors as labours.

He added that need was felt to spread the awareness among the general public.
He stressed on ensuring that the provisions of various Acts for labour welfare are implemented in letter and spirit and there is strict adherence to norms by the organisations. ALC said that the department is entrusted upon with the responsibility to maintain dignity of labourers and protect their interests.

HoD English, Prof S A Ganai said to keep hold of this practice education department has started several schemes including free education, mid day meal, free uniform and books for the students in government education institutions.

He thanked all the dignitaries present and requests the Labour Department and NirvanaAcademy Chief Organisor Ramban Tahir Mushtaq to conduct such programmes in future also.

In the debate competition Yasmeen Rehman, Shashi Kumari and Tasleema won first, second and third prize respectively.

Nirvana Academy and Dr Ambedkar Convent School celebrated Krishna Janmashtami


Jammu, 27 August: Dr. Ambedkar Convent School, Rajpura in collaboration with Nirvana Academy a registered cultural club celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with full fervour recently where children dressed as lord Krishna and Radha participated in matki phod contest. A skit was also performed by students of primary block which showcased mythological anecdotes from Krishna's life.
Sh. Gain Chand Dogra Managing Director Dr. Ambedkar Convent School group was the chief guest on the occasion while Smt. Santosh Sharma President Nirvana Academy and Mrs. Chetna Dogra were the guest of honour on the occasion.
Children presented a Dance Drama "Hey Krishna" as part of Janmashtami celebrations. Children won the heart of the audience by enacting various roles from Krishna's life. Dressed in attire of Krishna and Gopikas, they spread the message of our ancient traditions and our culture. 
Songs of Lord Krishna in the end enthralled the audience. The awesome performance was applauded and appreciated by everyone presented in the programme.
Mrs Sarla Mattoo thanked the guest, parents and staff for making this programme a success. She also thanked Nirvana Academy for their kind support and collaboration in the programme. She also blessed children on this pious occasion.
Rohit Sharma, actor director of Nirvana Academy, Anju Chakku cultural head of the school, Mrs. Urmil and Miss Bahar choreographed, directed and managed the whole programme.
